A Rainy Trip to London

Ayse and Helga check the weather report for the Bank Holiday on May 25th. The forecast predicts heavy showers.

They decide to travel by train at 08:30 from Platform 4. The ticket costs 25 pounds per person.

The train arrives at the station at 10:15. They walk quickly to find a warm place to eat.

Ayse looks at the menu. The soup costs 6 pounds and the salmon costs 14 pounds.

Helga asks if the service charge is included. The waiter says it is optional and suggests a 10 percent tip.

Ayse pays the bill of 20 pounds. She adds a 2 pound tip for the excellent service.

They leave the restaurant at 12:45. The rain stops and they enjoy the afternoon.
