The Rush to the Future

It is 8:15 AM and the weather is rainy. Sabine enters the station because she has a meeting at 9:00 AM.

The ticket costs 3.50 pounds. She walks through gate 4 to reach the platform.

A loud announcement says the train is delayed due to roadworks. Sabine checks her phone for the UCAS application portal.

Fatih arrives and explains he has submitted his personal statement. He says the deadline is January 15th.

The train arrives at platform 2. They push through the crowded carriage to find a seat.

Sabine has completed her reference letter. She says she has an appointment with a doctor after her class today.

They discuss the tuition fee. Sabine says the cost is very expensive for a student.

The train stops because of a signal failure. Sabine hopes to arrive before her restaurant lunch reservation at 12:30 PM.

They exit at the next station. Fatih suggests they check the university website one last time.

Sabine feels ready for her future. She thinks the stressful morning was worth the effort.
