The First Morning in London

It is 8:00 AM on Monday and the sky is grey. Giuseppe stands on the platform at Victoria Station feeling very nervous.

The loud voice announces that the Victoria Line is delayed due to urgent roadworks. Giuseppe checks his watch and feels anxious.

He pushes through the crowd to reach the gate. A helpful man named Ravi tells him the train will arrive at platform 4 soon.

Giuseppe boards the packed train. He holds his heavy bag tightly while the carriage shakes during the journey.

He has an appointment at the bank at 9:30 AM. He worries that the delay will make him late for his meeting.

Finally, he arrives at the branch. He enters the building and sees a sign saying the minimum deposit is 50 pounds.

Giuseppe explains to the clerk that he has moved here recently. He has prepared all his documents for the registration process.

Ravi is also at the bank to pay a fee. They discuss the difficult commute and the cold weather outside.

The manager approves the account after fifteen minutes. Giuseppe feels relieved that the process has finished successfully.

He walks outside and sees the rain has stopped. He decides to celebrate by visiting a local bistro for lunch at 12:00.
