The Tech Interview and the Pub

On 12th May at 08:30, Vasyl arrived at London station. He checked the board and saw his train reached Platform 4 on time.

The weather was cloudy with light rain. Vasyl walked towards the startup office, ignoring the roadworks near the main entrance.

At 10:00, Vasyl met Stefan for an interview. Stefan described the startup culture and asked about his experience.

Vasyl told Stefan that he has worked as a developer for three years. He felt confident because he prepared all his documents.

Stefan invited Vasyl to a pub to celebrate the successful talk. He explained that a round of drinks is a common British custom.

They entered the pub at 13:15. A pint of beer cost 6 pounds and 50 pence, which Vasyl paid for the first round.

Stefan advised Vasyl to stand at the bar to order. He mentioned that tipping is not mandatory but appreciated for good service.

Vasyl realized he missed a doctor appointment at 15:00. He decided to call the clinic later to reschedule the visit.

They discussed professional etiquette while enjoying the atmosphere. Stefan promised to send an offer letter by Friday morning.

Vasyl thanked Stefan for the hospitality. He walked to the station feeling excited about his potential new career in the city.
