Restaurant and Supermarket Fun
Ayse and Mei arrived at a British restaurant at 1:30 PM. They found a table, number 5.
Ayse looked at the menu. She asked about a starter, 'the soup of the day'.
Mei explained about tipping culture. A tip is extra money for a good waiter.
The bill for their food was £25.00. They paid and left a £3.00 tip for the service.
Later, at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14th, they went to a big supermarket. They saw a sign for a loyalty card.
Ayse asked Mei what a loyalty card was for. Mei said it gives a customer special discounts.
They bought some items at till number 3. The receipt showed a £1.20 saving with the card.
