Dragan and the University Deadline

It is 8:00 AM and Dragan checks the UCAS portal for his application. The deadline is at 6:00 PM today.

Dragan looks outside at the heavy rain and complains about the British weather. He has an appointment at the doctor at 10:30 AM.

Helga tells Dragan that he must be polite and wait in the queue at the station. She says the train to the city costs 15 pounds.

A station announcement says the train is delayed by roadworks near the tracks. Dragan sighs because he has wasted much time.

They arrive at the platform 4 gate at 11:15 AM. Helga explains that British people often use irony to handle bad situations.

Dragan tries to write his personal statement on his laptop. He has written a draft, but he doubts the quality of his text.

They go to a restaurant for lunch and pay 22 pounds for the meal. Helga tells him that social etiquette is very important here.

Dragan has finally submitted his application online. He feels relieved that the process is finished before the deadline.

They walk home while discussing the importance of a good education. The weather has changed and the sun is finally shining.

Dragan thanks Helga for her support during this stressful day. They agree to celebrate his success with tea later tonight.
