A Busy Day in England

Giuseppe arrives at the station at 09:00 because of roadworks on the main street. He meets Rainer near Platform 4.

Rainer tells Giuseppe that the weather is rainy today. They walk together to a cafe to read the menu.

Giuseppe looks at the menu and sees the price of the lunch is 15 pounds. He asks Rainer about the tipping culture in the UK.

Rainer explains that a service charge is often included. He says adding a 10 percent tip is polite for good service.

After lunch, they go to the medical centre for a registration appointment at 14:30. The receptionist asks for the passport.

Giuseppe completes the registration form for the GP. He learns that the NHS provides healthcare for the residents.

The receptionist says the doctor will call him on October 12th. Giuseppe is happy that he has finished the process.

Outside the building, they hear a station announcement about a train delay. They decide to take a bus instead.

Giuseppe realizes that the public transport is busy at 17:00. He feels tired but satisfied with his productive day.

They discuss the next steps for his health check. Giuseppe plans to visit the pharmacy near the centre tomorrow.
